Himalayan Guide

himalayan.guide website

Website privacy policy

The site has no ads, no analytics and no cookies. The only thing we keep about you is your e-mail address, and only if you asked to hear about the apps’ launch and confirmed it by e-mail.

In short

  • You don’t need an account or an e-mail address to read the site.
  • Your e-mail joins the list only if you enter it in the “Notify me” form and tap the link in the confirmation e-mail.
  • We only write about Himalayan Guide apps reaching the App Store. You can unsubscribe with one click in any e-mail.
  • The list is kept by the e-mail service Brevo on servers in the EU. We don’t sell or share the addresses with anyone else.

Who is responsible

The site and the list are run by Anton Yankovyi (“we”). Address: Ukraine. For any question about your data, write to support@himalayan.guide.

The “Notify me” launch list

What we keep

Your e-mail address, the language of the page you signed up from (so we write to you in it), and the dates of sign-up and confirmation, which Brevo keeps as a record of your consent.

Why

To tell you when the Himalayan Guide apps reach the App Store. We send nothing else to this address, and no ads.

Legal basis

Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it twice: by entering your address in the form and by tapping the link in the e-mail. If you don’t confirm, the address is not added to the list and we don’t write to you again.

Who processes the data

The e-mail service Brevo (France) keeps the list and sends the e-mails on our behalf; its servers are in the EU. See Brevo’s privacy policy.

Protection against abuse

So that nobody can use our form to flood someone else’s inbox, the site’s server counts sign-up attempts. For that it keeps one-way fingerprints (hashes) of the IP address and e-mail and the time of the attempt, for no longer than a day. The form’s server log contains no addresses.

How long, and how to unsubscribe

Until you unsubscribe. Every e-mail has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also write tosupport@himalayan.guide and we’ll remove your address.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by HostPro (Ukraine). Like any web server, it keeps technical logs: IP address, time of the request, page address and browser type. They are needed for security and operation and are kept for a limited time under the host’s rules.

Everything the pages need, fonts included, comes from this site’s own server: your browser contacts no one else.

There are no analytics, ads, ad trackers or cookies on the site.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent (that is, unsubscribe) and complain to the data protection authority in your country. To use any of these rights, write tosupport@himalayan.guide.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. We’ll e-mail subscribers about significant changes that affect the list.
